Absolutely beautiful hotel would rank it 10/10 Room is beautiful Bathroom is gorgeous but…… then you turn the shower on and that’s the disappointment, you have to run around to get wet Complain to reception who said leave it running for 10 min it might improve So if your stoping there don’t stop on the 6th floor My final rating 6/10

Can I start by saying how welcoming the hotel staff are. Chatty, friendly and helpful. The hotel has also been beautifully refurbished and looks wonderful and is very comfortable with a comfy bed, windows which open, decent tea bags, a Nespresso machine and fresh milk . It is very convenient for the station, Leeds city centre and transport if you need to get out and about. What really lets it down are the basics. Yes we were only there for two nights but there were literally no drawers anywhere, there is hanging space but underwear and spare tee shirts etc had to be left on the floor of the wardrobe or on a surface somewhere. Just a little drawer in the bedside table would have been nice! There appeared to be no hairdryer but apparently it was on a very high shelf above the wardrobe. I did open the door to it up but as I couldn’t actually reach I assumed it wasn’t there. PLEASE put the hairdryer somewhere where (and I’m an above average height woman) we can see it not somewhere even my husband couldn’t see and not somewhere where we have to guess its location. Finally breakfast looked good and actually tasted quite good but the hot breakfast was cold. Breakfast is all self service, which is fine, but if it is invest in some covers for the cooked bit so it keeps warm. It sounds as though we didn’t enjoy our stay, we did, and I’d stay again but please get these basics right!

I recently stayed at this beautifully refurbished hotel for two nights and I loved it. The owners clearly spent a lot of money refurbishing the place and it’s a case of job well done. Just walking up the grand staircase made me feel like I was a grand hotel. Each floor is decorated with some lovely paintings of the Yorkshire countryside My room was very well equipped and comfortable. The toiletries were great. The breakfast is also very good with plenty of options (continental/full English). All members of staff who spoke to me were friendly and helpful. The hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from the central railway station and, of course, all the shops and restaurants are on the doorstep. I hope to stay here again when next in Leeds.
