Holiday Inn Leeds Garforth

I can't fault this hotel. Its location is convenient, all the staff are friendly and efficient, and the prices reasonable. The room was quiet and air conditioned, and the bed very comfortable. There are plenty of sockets in the room, which is important for me, and wi fi worked well. I ate in the restaurant and the food was good. My only quibbles are minor. First they seemed to be out of quite a bit, particularly white wines - no chardonnay for example, and I do wish more hotels would stock a Cabernet Sauvignon. Second all the food was clearly labelled, which is good: I have coeliac disease, but the Cumberland sausage was marked as containing nitrites, but not specifically gluten-fee, unlike the other breakfast products. But if I. reduced to commenting about such minor things it must be good. I would definitely stay again if in the area. Very convenient for the A1 and M1.

Damp rooms, fire alarm sounding at 5:30 am, no food available and over charged.

What can I say ? Place is in dire need of an upgrade !! Entered the room ( premium ) and the carpet hadn’t even been hoovered !! Contacted reception, they sent someone up within the hour - took pictures of the manky carpet and hoovered it - basic for servicing a room and unforgivable in this day. Carpet was badly stained, shower curtain stained ( who even has shower curtains these days ?) Chunk out of bottom of bathroom door, shower bracket rusty, cupboard doors loose, fridge had more rust than a 1977 Austin Allegro ! On the plus side - great location and lots of parking & that’s about it .
