Imperial Crown

Stayed here for a gig at Piece Hall and was fine just to have somewhere to leave our stuff and crash for the night. Location wise its perfect...literally 1 minut walk from the venue and across the road from the train station. Hotel is a bit tired but bed was comfy enough and no real complaints, although wouldnt like to have an extended stay. No lift for those who struggle with stairs. Has an Indian restaurant adjoining it but hotel guests eat in a seperate dining area and have to go to the reception area where the food/buffet is. Why they dont just have it in the dining room I dont know !

Awful hotel go elsewhere. No towel in room on arrival, had to go to reception to get one to shower. uncomfortable and noisy bed,which is next to the wall so you banged your knees or arms when turning. Dirty threadbare carpet which looked like it,had been there for yrs. moth or fly still in ceiling light,stains on door and walls.bad repairs on moved sockets and sink. white toilet seat on a grey suite and not aligned properly. Had to ring the head office to check out as their was no one on reception after being there for 45mins. should be closed down for a full refurbishment.

Very close to railway station, close to all attractions. Fair price, helpful staff Breakfast a bit meagre. Evening, Indian restaurant good. Rooms needing some attention, but ok
