Edgerton Guest House

The hotel is lovely, really clean and spacious- and very good value. Facilities were absolutely fine, we slept well (just wish we could have opened one of the huge windows as it was very warm in the morning- but that was probably me not figuring out how to do it) It s a short and pleasant walk downhill into the town. The prson on the front desk was really attentive, polite and friendly. Super! Will definitely go back if our adventures bring us back to Huddersfield in the future.

Large hotel about a mile from Huddersfield centre. There is free off road parking to the side of the hotel accessed from Cemetery Road. Most of the roads in the area are resident parking zones. We tried to access the carpark at the rear but failed to because of the bins and overgrown bushes from the property next door. It’s a real squeeze. Inside, the hotel is dated but has lots of period features. The hotel offers breakfast but I did not see anyone taking the option. The room was okay. Clean, compact and functional. In addition to the usual team making facilities, the hotel offers use of a microwave which is located at the entrance.

Good advance guidance regarding their car park(s) and a lovely welcome in the early evening. Quick check-in and a lovely little warm single room with a fridge, a great shower room and very comfy bed. I ordered breakfast and I was called at pre-arranged time asking me what I’d like. The full English was a good quality portion and very hot as it was made to order, with toast and coffee, brought to my room. Excellent one-night stay, great staff and ample room out in the car park(s). Thank you.
