Best Western Rogerthorpe Manor

Stayed here overnight, and arrived to find that we'd been unexpectedly upgraded. The room was fabulously huge with everything spotless and working. Beds were very firm, but still comfortable. We had dinner in the Jacobean pub next door; which was tasty; my husband's fish and chips were spot on. For breakfast we had the continental which was fresh and enjoyable. The machine-brewed coffee was actually quite good for a change, and we checked out rested, fed and watered for our onward journey south. We'd stay here again for definite, even without an upgrade.

Stayed here for two nights on business. The first night was fine - pleasant staff - clean and comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. Unfortunately that was totally overshadowed by a very unpleasant second night. The hotel was hosting a school prom. This meant that there was incredibly loud dance music playing until 11pm. Despite my wearing noise-cancelling headphones I could not escalate the music as the volume was so loud and the soundproofing in my room was so poor. Whilst I'm sure the kids had a wonderful time I lit meant I had a very late night - or what I had planned or needed on a business trip.

Lovely Hotel situated between 2 country villages but only 10 minutes from Pontefract. Room was very clean and comfortable and excellent breakfast buffet with very good choice of freshly cooked hot breakfast. Staff were very helpful and cheerful and a choice of a conservatory or lounge to sit and relax in.
