Beautiful hotel and grounds the most dog friendly place too , the spa was amazing we also had a treatment that was lovely too few little hiccups with not having things in the room that were requested but it was very quickly rectified by the reception staff . All staff very friendly and helpful

We had a fantastic time clay pigeon shooting today. Our instructor, Steven, deserves a special mention. He was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. I really can’t speak highly enough of him. It was a brilliant experience and something all four of us enjoyed. I would highly recommend

We came here for my 30th and this was our 5th stay, we love the location and love the place, however this time was not like normal, we feel that there’s no pride anymore. When we arrived our room wasn’t ready we weren’t bothered by this as we were ready for a chilled night and made to the bar for a drink. We were greeted by a waitress who said she’d come and take our drinks order from outside 20 minutes went by and no one came out so my partner went to the bar I understand there was a wedding on and it was busy however when told a drinks order be taken and wasn’t we’d rather be told just to go to the bar when ready. We then went to get the room key and went to the room after being ing the room 10 minutes and there couple walked in and said this was there room and then a phone call from reception to stay we were in the wrong room, no apologies were given for this and me and my partner felt rather embarrassed as we already started to unpack in someone else’s room. We then went to the spa which was lovely. We then went back to the room to get ready for a meal in the view. The service was massively disappointing, sat down and 30 minutes went by before a drinks order was taken my partner went to the bar after 20 and asked if someone could come over. Someone came over said that she take out order and put it though to the kitchen and said we get it done quickly. It was around 9 pm and after this we felt rather rushed and made to feel we were the issue. We spoke to the manager but just felt there’s no pride in the restaurant anymore. The food was lovely very tasty. We then went back to the room and at 2 pm the guest from the wedding were down in the room below us having a party. This isn’t the hotels fault but this ruined the sleep. Over all the night way cost about £600 and we felt it was not worth it it was my 30th and felt alot of stuff let this stay down and with it being our 5th stay we would of thought it be a little more special with my celebrations.
