Crown Inn

Lovely location, friendly staff. Food was mediocre at best. Swamped in garlic and oil and poorly presented. Asked by waitress if it were too much food but explained the problem. Really disappointed .

Handy location, just off the M4. On a very busy road with noise day and night, tricky turning out of the junction especially against the traffic. Accomodation is in rooms in separate building, each with a door direct to outside. Lots of parking available, well lit. Rooms have everything you need, comfy beds, decent hairdryers, good water pressure in the shower and sufficient hanging space and drawers. Cookies (apparently homemade) in a jar a nice touch on the coffee tray. I could do with brighter lighting and clearer mirror access, but probably ok for most people. Rack rate includes breakfast which is pretty good, nice choice of hot and cold menu items. We got a discounted non-flexible rate, otherwise I'd think it a bit pricey. Bar area well laid out with tables, 3 or 4 separate rooms, seems popular all day with varied customers - families with young children, business travellers, couples. Tea and cake available in the afternoon. Menu choices solid, not trying (and more importantly, not failing) to be trendy, just well prepared reasonable meals.

Very good quality meal. The seating area out the back is decent and the location handy being just off the M4. Not a bad stopping point at all with ample parking.
