Best Western Angel

Stayed for the weekend 1st room was very very small and very dirty asked to be move and our next room was fine except it was still quite dusty and could have done with a good thorough clean breakfast fine waiting staff could have been happier doing their job garden lovely except we had to clear tables ourselves take glasses back to bar where /staff were looking bored ,if they were my staff I would have not been happy when the tables were very untidy in the garden our lunch plates were still there when we left the hotel that evening ,asked for a taxi the next morning one girl was playing on her mobile and the other never acknowledged us unable to get a taxi think management need a meeting !!

We have just returned from yet another lovely stay at The Angel Hotel, we have stayed there several times and we can't praise the Hotel enough. We went with my Daughter and Husband who also enjoyed it very much. We book with Great Little Breaks two nights offer. The Hotel is in a great location at the top of a beautiful Market town with many good shops, and a stones throw from Bus Station where you can get a bus to the must see Bath and other locations. The room are very nice a good size with comfortable Beds and lovely Bathroom. The first night offers, include a Meal and bottle, my son in law and myself had the most amazing dinner that can only be described as Fine Dinning! the presentation and taste was great, the other guests had a good meal also. My Thanks as always go to Sherrie on Reception for always looking after us as I always request a certain room. all the staff and Manager are very friendly, it has a lovely lounge area and a bar if you need a drink. we are looking forward to our next trip, as its a guaranteed lovely break in a very pretty market town.

Had a two night Great Little Breaks stay at this hotel recently. First impressions were good. Checked in by a friendly, helpful receptionist. The hotel is situated in the centre of the lovely town of Chippenham. The railway station was a 15 minute walk (uphill) and from there it was easy to get to Bristol and Bath. Our room was spacious but there were no drawers, even though there was plenty of space to put a chest of drawers. The exterior of the window was extremely dirty. The room was very dusty. Nice garden area but the garden furniture needed replacing. Breakfast was average. Greasy bacon, overcooked fried eggs and very little fresh fruit. Our biggest issue with the hotel, however, was cleanliness throughout. It could be a lovely hotel if more attention was paid to cleaning and food served.
