As others have commented, some of the decor is a bit old-fashioned, but why that should bother you is beyond me: The hotel is spotlessly clean, the beds are comfortable, the parking is good (and even if it was full, on-street would be fine, even for someone notoriously fussy about parking their car like me. Everyone was friendly, pleasant, and helpful. The lounge downstairs is comfortable, with a decent TV, and the wifi works. The rooms were all warm and comfortable, and everything worked. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, and was nothing less than excellent, both in choice and quality. Location is good- even with a relative in a wheelchair (there is one room with ramp access) town is only a few minutes away. All in all, an excellent stay and great value.

This is a beautiful, clean and comfortable hotel. Peter is the polite and friendly owner of this hotel. There is a large carpark at the front and beautiful large hanging baskets and flowers decorate the front of the hotel. There is a lovely lounge with a large tv in it downstairs for everyone to use. The dining area is spaceous and clean and excellent breakfasts are served here by friendly and very helpful staff. There was plenty of choice and food was cooked to order. We stayed in the family room which had a double and a single bed. The room was decorated nicely with matching bedding, pictures, curtains and lampshade. The furniuture was wooden and old worldy but definately added to the charm of this beautiful hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and mould free. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from Rhos paddling pool which my daughter adores and also from the shops, cafes and beach. We thought that the price we paid was just right for what we got. Thank you Peter and Judith we will definately be staying with you again and we will definately recomend you to our friends and family. See you again next summer!

I booked our stay at the ‘Ashmount’ on the back of a ‘negative’ review on here.... someone moaned about the sausage and I thought “if that’s all there was to complain about”, that along with the reply of the owner which was a great response... That aside, we’ve just come back from a two night stay and honestly have nothing at all to complain about. We were greeted by Peter on arrival, promptly shown to our room which was clean, tidy and housed everything that we’d want for our stay. Pete explained the reception and safety rules including late night return and locking of doors. If anything I found it difficult to sleep because after hours there is just no noise at all, the street is very quiet. We left several times throughout our stay taking our car, on return there was always parking spaces but in the event that there wasn’t I wouldn’t be worried about parking on the road. (It’s about 100 meters to the sea front which was great as my daughter loves the sea) Breakfast is served between 8 and 9 am and there’s no fuss over tables as yours is designated by room number.. The breakfasts range from cereals, fruit, yogurts, toast, fruit bars, various fried items to a good sized full English (you could have everything if you wanted) **there was nothing at all wrong with my sausage..!! ** Tea, coffee and juices are also there on a refill basis. Our room was cleaned along with tea, milk and sugar refills on day two of our stay along with towel changes. Peter and Judith are great, both cared about their guests and their establishment. Would I return..??? Without a doubt. Thank you ‘The Ashmount’
