Holiday Inn Express Birmingham Redditch

My second visit. All staff were so helpful. Room very clean. Breakfast well cooked and hot and fresh, Shout out to Sam!. Also a big thanks to Lauren in the restaurant. so helpful and friendly. The hotel is well located for the town and railway station.

My stay did not get off to a good start as when I checked in I was informed it was card only and cash wasn’t accepted in the hotel. This was frustrating and disappointing and put the desk staff and myself in a difficult position but this was in no way their fault. . All the staff I met were polite and courteous and the room was clean and sorted out every day. The hotel was quiet and sleeping wasn’t a problem. Breakfast was ok with a reasonable selection. It is part of the booking and not an additional expense like some other hotels. The hotel is in a good location close to the town centre. There was plenty of parking.

Room was okay, would be better if a bigger tv and a mirror over the desk/ dressing table. Ask for a room at the back as ours was noisy from the main road despite there being double glazing and we had the window closed. We did check a couple of times to make sure it was closed as couldn’t believe you could hear so much noise. Breakfast was poor, all tables were being used, only 1 person clearing tables, food was not replenished when empty. Bought out 6 croissants when the restaurant was full. Topped the milk up by only 2 pints from a 4 pint container - why not put all of it in. Kept running out of cutlery. Americano coffee from the machine was cold. Food quality was poor - could not eat the cooked offering. Good car park with lots of space Good location - only a few minutes walk into town
