THE VICTORIA COUNTRY INN

We have traveled thousands of miles for business and stayed in a variety of hotels. One of the mainstays is free breakfast in almost every hotel. Recently, we stayed at the Finial. This was our 4th time staying there, and the service and accommodations are stellar; this week, we were dazzled by their staff. Harrison and Elida, two staff members responsible for breakfast, outdid themselves. We walked into the dining area, and most of the usual breakfast items were not there. Harrison appeared, said the hotel was slow, and that he would be cooking our breakfast, and asked what we would like for breakfast. Wow! We ordered; he left for the kitchen. A few minutes later, he presented us with our order. In addition, Elida arrived with a large pan of cinnamon pull-apart. Another Wow! In over 20 years of traveling, this is a first for us. Kudos to the staff and a marvelous experience. Highly recommend!

Pretty nice old hotel. It's owned by Best Western now. Stayed in normal , adjacent, motel rooms, wish we could have stayed in the hotel rooms. Breakfast was REALLY good though.

Traveled with my sister and niece for the Straight No Chaser concert in nearby (10-min drive) Oxford. We LOVED this hotel - the staff were all friendly and knowledgeable - the property and room were clean - the included breakfast was tasty and bountiful with more selection than I’d ever seen at a breakfast included in a room - the manager was personable and provided information about the main house’s history and renovation as he worked alongside the staff in the mornings at the breakfast - the saltwater pool was a relaxing feature - I’d stay here again in a heartbeat! Shout out to Megan in the Carriage House who is a multi-tasker extraordinaire - She handled check-ins, guest requests ; phone calls, plus manning the bar seamlessly, and made the most incredible oatmeal cream pie martini!
