Loved this hotel! Recently acquired by Marriott & Possibly my new favorite on the Gulf Coast. EACH ROOM GETS 2 FREE BEACH CHAIRS & UMBRELLA SET UP. This meant we could have a chair even if we were just going to the beach briefly which was really nice esoecially during a conference. Most places are 50-100/day. The views were of course gorgeous. There is a rock jetty which may be a concern or a feature depending in your viewpoint. Dolphins came to play by the jetty ! The room was recently redone & very clean. Bed extremely comfortable. A/C was good and quiet and not even a hint of the mustiness you sometimes get at the beach. Room was quiet - except when there was pool music because we were over the pool. Storage was good, but was missing hooks for towels etc. It did have a barn door in the bathroom, but it was solid and actually stayed closed. The main restaurants & cofee shop were typically overpriced and meh, but the cafe/icecream shop was good. The pool facilities were less than many resorts. There was a kids pool. No lazy river and I didnt see a jacuzzi but I dont think everything is open yet. No light on the balcony, presumably out of concern for nesting turtles. Conference facilities were good, but freezing cold as usual for a hotel.

We had an amazing stay. The room and grounds were spotless. Beach chairs and umbrella rental was included. Restaurants on site. Easy access and return for pool/beach towels. They offered an amazing military rate which we are thankful for. We reserved a “limited view” room and you could still see the beach and ocean. The only negative was a truck that came to pump what I am assuming is their cooking grease. It was right outside of our window at 6am and so loud it woke us all up, we had just arrived late the night before so we only got a few hours of sleep. Everything else was amazing. Don’t think twice about booking. We usually visit a nearby beach but we had such a nice stay that this will be our new go to vacation spot.
