Selma was our second stop on our trip through Kentucky, Alabama and Georgia. The last time I stayed in Selma was at a hotel around the corner from the Luxury Inn and Suites. I found it to be awful, and thought anything else could be better, but was I wrong. Checking in was not a pleasant experience as the couple at the front desk were unable to converse in English. If they were filling in on an emergency basis, I could understand. If not, that is completely unacceptable. I had to speak to some unknown person on the phone to answer my questions. The room was clean, but not much else. No toothpaste, shampoo, microwave or fridge. There was no breakfast either.

Despite the name, certainly not a luxurious property, but good for one night on the road. Reasonably quiet with easy parking. Spacious room with old carpet and dated decor. Amenities included mini-fridge, microwave and coffe maker. Will lit desk area. Plenty of power outlets. Comfortable bed and pillows. Spacious bathroom with everything in working order. Shower with good water pressure. Wifi worked well.
