Where to begin. I stayed here in mid-July and couldn’t wait to leave. There were stains on the bedspread and when you sit on the bed the mattresses are so old you can feel the springs. Don’t move when you sleep because the springs squeak so much it wakes you up. I had a big poncho with me and pulled the bedspread off, laid my poncho down and slept on top of that. The room was out-dated, the ceiling in the bathroom was cracked and plaster looked like it was going to fall down while showering. The walls are paper thin, I could hear people in the halls and in the rooms above. The worst was when the fire alarm went off around 11 p.m. We call the front desk and they said they had to wait for the fire department to come and shut it off. They didn’t think it was a fire, rather someone burnt something when cooking.

I am surprised that the State of Alaska allows this trash bin to be open as hotel, DO NOT do it, sleep in your car much cleaner and safer than this filthy hotel!

OMG - Don't even think about staying here. The rooms are filthy. Door to bathroom didn't close right. My SO is a retired fireman and he went around the room and said "this isn't up to fire code", "this isn't up to fire code", "this isn't up to fire code" and coincidentally about an hour later the fire alarm goes off. The fire department didn't show up so they must not be attached to the police station to summons the fire department. Very disconcerting because someone is going to get hurt, or even worse if they don't address their problem.
