Denali Perch Resort

The cabin itself was nice and comfy. We had one with a bath so everything was inside. We had the deluxe cabin (cabins 21-24) which had a nice view over the river. Unfortunately we wanted a stand alone cabin as the walls seem so thin you hear ur neighbors. We booke the deluxe cabin because of the view but thinking that it‘s a stand alone one as the deluxe - but it‘s not which was pretty sad and I was quite disappointed. Be careful when booking what you expect because the cabins 21-24 are basically some deluxe of the double ones. As there were no pictures on the website it was confusing and we were disappointed because we spend more money but did not get what we expected as of missing information on the website. Unfortunately the reception was not open during checkout thus we were not able to tell them. Pizza place was good!

If you are looking for 5 star accommodations The Perch is not for you. But if you like a bit of fun and funky you will like this place, we certainly did! Traveling with my 13 year old grandson and we found The Perch charming. Yes the floor did slope toward the door but it was clean and we appreciated the little table, microwave and fridge in our room. The screened window opened so we could hear the creek without the worry of mosquitos. The shared bathhouse was clean and included shampoo, etc. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Paid for the “most luxurious” cabins, the very nice place near two restaurants. Too bad that at the reception their restaurant was out of order for guests who did not show up in groups... so no breakfast.
