Amazing experience all around. Thank you again, Gloria! The cabin was great. The grounds and amenities were nice. We had to re-schedule our flyout trip given weather, but Gloria took care of getting us onto the river the same day and still getting us re-scheduled for another flyout trip. The fish processing was super-easy and done well, and we all got to bring home quite a bit of salmon! Overall great trip for my dad, my brother, and myself.

Salmon Catcher Lodge Review 5+ stars. Makes you want to pinch yourself to make sure you’re not dreaming. The greatest experience of any trip I’ve taken. The owners Gloria and Justin made every effort to make this “YOUR TRIP OF A LIFE TIME. Scheduling fishing trips of the desired fishing species to fit your schedule. The kitchen crew were phenomenal. Brian and Gina made exquisite 5 course meals. If you had special dietary needs. They gladly prepared you special foods. The young waiting staff( the owners kids and the chefs kids ) were very polite. Filling water and drink glasses , refreshing the breads and keeping the dishes out of your way. If you are planning a fishing trip to Alaska this is the Lodge for you !!!

I chose the Salmon Catcher Lodge in the beautiful Kenai Peninsula because I wanted to see if it might be a suitable venue to put on our Middle TN Fly Fishers outing agenda for 2027 or 2028. The SCL certainly had the space to accommodate large groups in one of their many cabins. Since there were only 2 of us,Gloria and Justin (the owners) set us up in a nice room in the main lodge with a small kitchen area. Knowing I wanted to sample many types of fishing, they provided us with a 4 day schedule to do just that! We had a "fly out" in a seaplane up to some glacial lakes to fish for trout and grayling, set us up on a float for silver salmon, a float for trout on the Russian River, and a small boat in the peninsula for Halibut (and sometimes cod). Their prices per person are excellent considering it bundles: accommodation, 3 meals (and snacks), fishing trip arrangements, guide costs (we paid the tips), and fish processing to return home with. I WILL say that our extra box freezer in our basement is FULL. I can't wait to present this to MTFF as an option for our next annual Western trip! Many thanks to Gloria, Justin and their kids as well as Gina and Brian for their fine culinary skills around everyone's daily fishing schedules. We already miss Ruger (the Lodge Lab) :)
