Bluegreen Vacations Hammocks at Marathon, an Ascend Resort

I was blown away by how nice this resort is. So glad we stayed for nearly a week. Our room was actually the size of a one bedroom apartment. Nice kitchen, big front room and bedroom,really modern and kept up. We loved the pool and deck where we spent much of our time. Bar and grill in back had great food and atmoshere. No reason to go anywhere else. So so relaxing here.

Great location, near lots of restaurants, Sombrero Beach, Bahia Honda State Park. About an hour drive from Key West. Clean rooms, comfy bed. Hope to return!

Great location, great place, friendly, responsive staff. Been here before and the room was great with a great view at that time. This time not so much. We get what they call a "studio", and it is not what you would expect in a "studio", it is nothing but a nice size hotel room, this was with a "great" view of an unkept grounds, a wooden fence and a plastic shed. Normally when a person thinks of a studio a small place with maybe a kitchen comes to mind not a typical hotel room. So..... the description is misleading to say the least, but as I was explained by the absolutely unfriendly and useless supervision at the corporate level, it was my fault for not looking closer and verifying that what is called a studio is nothing but a hotel room. So again, the place is great the staff is helpful at the local level. Verify what you want so you don't assume a studio is actually a small usable apartment and don't call the useless corporate stuff to try to resolve it because you will get the DEI hire "supervisor" after about 45 minutes on hold to tell you it is your fault, and they will do nothing to try and resolve it. BlueGreen I expected better.
