Best Western Pony Soldier Inn

From the start as you walk in you feel the warmth. The front desk is smiling and cheerful. The is an older motel on route 66 that is well cared for. My room was clean and cool when I walked in. There was nothing bad to say about it. As for the comments about trains, Yes they pass regularly but I like trains so no problem for me. Anyone looking at a map of the area would know about the trains so if you don't like the noise don't book here. Glad I decided to stay here and would stay again when in the area.

The BW Pony Soldier is a very nice updated property. Rooms always clean and outside well maintained. The pool is beautiful but in the summer not really usable as the sun makes the pool area VERY hot. Br e akfast room is across the driveway and very large. Appreciate there is always fresh fruit and yogurt

The "suite" had 2 full bathrooms that made it easier to get ready for 2 people and to get up in the night simultaneously to go to the bathroom. it also had a table that could be used for a carry out dinner or to play cards. The breakfast was much better than most with good hot foods. The bed was firm but comfortable, just like I like it. Altogether a great experience.
