KNIGHTS INN FLAGSTAFF EAST

Needed a room on my way to Vegas and the price was right. The desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful, and the room DID have a mini fridge and microwave, which I liked. But that’s about all I can say that’s positive about the place. The first thing I noticed when I entered was a big black water spot on the ceiling…it had been painted over, but it was bleeding through; you can’t paint over that, you have to replace the sheetrock. The next thing that stuck out at me was the floor tile, it had gaps in it in several places and looked like it had been laid by someone who had no idea what he was doing. But the worst was the bathroom. The tub was filthy, looked like it hadn’t had a good cleaning in years. The door and jamb were both practically falling apart, instead of replacing the rotten wood they just painted over it. And there were large patches on the walls where the paint had flaked off and were showing a different colored paint underneath. I’ve stayed in worse motels, but I expected any motel that was under the Wyndham banner would have to live up to a certain standard. This WAS a cheap motel, but it was a disappointment nonetheless. In the future I won’t expect much from any Wyndham properties, I expect better than this from a Motel 6 or Budget Inn.

We had to use this hotel as we were traveling and our original hotel had lost our reservations and this was our last resort. They charged us $314 for one room for one night and It was the dirtiest room I’ve ever been in. Bathroom was so gross we wouldn’t use It to shower. Dirty floors. So dusty we wrote our names on things. I believe the mattresses are about as old as the hotel. The bed skirt was so stained and disgusting. Sleeping in our car would’ve been a better choice.

Not one review mentioned the constant and very loud train that passes all night right across the street. No sleep to be had- awful pillows, creaking bed, so loud. Would not have booked since it was supposed to be a quick stop just to sleep!
