Spirit Tree Inn B&B

I liked that it was located in Patagonia. We really wanted to see that area and it wasn't too far off | 10. Due to asthma I was not able to stay the night and sent a very nice message to the owner. I was a little disappointed that we got no response. I wasn't asking for my money back although that would have been the right thing to do was to offer partial refund. I was just simply explaining why we couldn't stay- I would have died. And that's pretty serious. I had to use my inhaler just to survive a few minutes. I complimented her on her hospitality and at the very least expected a response back, but got nothing. I didn't like that the home was very dusty and poor clean air quality inside the home within minutes I had an asthma attack and had to use my inhaler. Mary Jane was friendly enough, but we were not able to stay the night. I also never expected a host to wait for your arrival. We felt her partner was a little irritated with our three hour delay as he would not even look at us. Fire and traffic accidents delayed our arrival, not irresponsibility.

BEWARE!!!! This place was completely unacceptable! The place is very remote and not within walking distance to Patagonia. We stayed in the main house in the equine room. No one else was staying in the house so we moved to a different, not so small and dingy, room. The trash in the kitchen was full and stinky. They couldn’t bother to take out the trash before new guests came? The “breakfast” food in the fridge looked unsafe and filthy. So we declined breakfast. Every door knob and cabinet was black and dirty. The breakfast cook top had old grease and food left on it. The were used food containers on the sink and a half eaten hamburger in the guest fridge.. The coffee pot had coffee sludge and was filthy. There was thick dust on everything giving me allergies and leading to asthma.. In the bed room we moved into there was poop in the toilet. The bed spread was very soiled and had brown unidentifiable stains on it. Web filled filthy windows. The list goes on and on. I was told I snooped long enough to get my money back..all of the things were in plain sight. We left in the middle of the night because we couldn’t handle it and felt unsafe. I just don’t want anyone to go through what we went through. Stay at your own risk.

My stay with Mary Jane and Tom was exceptional! Location is paradise in the beautiful wooded foothills. Their attention to the needs of guests is outstanding from the moment one arrives until driving out the driveway, be it dietary or anything else. Tom’s homemade gourmet breakfasts are delish!
