We are loyal Marriott customers (Lifetime Platinum), and are frequent guests in Courtyards around the world. However, we were disappointed in this particular hotel. We both enjoy working out in the morning, but in this gym there were no mats available for floor work and the carpet was filthy. We used a small towel, but it was very unpleasant. In the bathroom, the vanity sink switched rapidly cold to scalding back and forth and could not be controlled to a single temperature. We love Courtyards in general and I recommend them to friends. I recommended the Courtyard Edinburgh to my sister-in-law and she loved it. But this particular hotel was a disappointment.

Booked this hotel for a day on our way back from Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Needed some non driving downtime, but unfortunately it isn’t super near for walking to shops or restaurants. Some decent ones nearby drive. The hotel itself had friendly staff and comfortable rooms, but ours felt a bit rusty in spots.

The bed was comfortable, and the amenities—like a mini-fridge, microwave, and workspace—made the stay more enjoyable. The soundproofing was decent, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Service & Staff The staff was friendly and accommodating, making check-in and check-out seamless. They were helpful with local recommendations and quick to assist with any requests. Overall Experience For a mid-range hotel, the Courtyard by Marriott Happy Valley delivers comfort, cleanliness, and convenience. It’s a solid choice for both business and leisure travelers looking for a reliable place to stay in North Phoenix. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
