decent breakfast, room was fine except smelled like air freshener, couldn't check in early bc housekeeping doesn't come early, downstairs bathrooms are locked and require separate key if you haven't checked in yet, not the best area but close to Banner

Well they’re updating the hotel but it’s gone downhill over the last couple years. They now charge you for parking. At a Fairfield? Come on Marriott. Our room looked like it had been updated but badly. This is the first room we’ve ever had at a Fairfield that you could see the corridor from inside the room (see picture). And the curtains in our north facing room couldn’t block out the 24 hour lights from the drive through restaurant next door. I don’t know if it’s the gap in the door but we had a cricket in the room. And the A/C unit sounded like it was on its last leg even though it did cool the room. Unacceptable for sure.

Clean, quiet hotel in midtown Phoenix. Parking is $7 for the night FYI. Beds were comfy, roomy room. It's under construction, so only 1 elevator is open. Front desk team was friendly at check out - Merci Leon for your tips on where to see saguaros, we made it! :) Breakfast was ok, standard options, no frill - Nothing exciting. Really shocked that this Marriott location only provided plastic silverware, paper plates and cups. Not very environmental friendly.
