Canyon Motel and RV Park

Ws spent one night in an RV space. The space was full of weeds on each side. The showers/bathroom was unkept. Paper towels on the floor and the shower wall has not be cleaned in weeks. We were also charged a lodging tax $11.67 and a Utility Surcharge $5.20 over the $60.00 site fee. RV foe 18 years and never seen that before.

Overall, our stay was okay, but we wouldn’t choose to return. The biggest issue was the lack of communication about the pool being out of service for some time. The pictures of the cabin from the outside didn’t mention the thin wall dividing it into two units, which meant we could hear our neighbors. Additionally, the electrical plug in the bathroom didn’t work and was coming out of the wall. The bathroom sink also had a slow trickle drain and there was no way to hag the toilet paper. The beds in the loft were very thin and uncomfortable, as was the queen bed, which was stiff. If my expectations hadn’t been so high, we probably would have enjoyed it more. A more transparent listing would be nice. Finally, the Mountain View was mostly obstructed by large pine trees.

I won’t deny it’s kind of cute. We stayed two nights, at $219. a night. I just received the final bill via email and it came to $543.66. We were charged a surcharge for utilities, cleaning, taxes and other assorted fees I didn’t quite understand. There was food under the bunk bed when we got there and we found a used coffee filter with coffee in it when we got up the next day. There was no smoke detector, for what ever reason it was gone. The pictures from various web sites and theirs doesn’t match what it looks like when you drive up. The person at the front desk didn’t even say hello, just asked my name gave me the key and said don’t lose it. I was just going to write a review and say it was ruff around the edges and needed TLC. I don’t mind the extra fees when they are up front about it when reservations are made. I can’t honestly give this place a good recommendation.
