Grand Canyon Hotel

Pros Location : the best right in the middle of the town Friendly desk attendant Cons: We had two of the most expensive rooms. no parking available. had to drive around the block for 45 min when one finally opened up next to the hotel. The street curbs are very shreadded and jagged and caught the tire and rim. it was a rental car and I had to replace the tire and rim which were a couple thousand dollars. there should be enough parking for all the rooms especially for the most expensive rooms. the room was extremely dark and dreary and half the light bulbs were burned out. the shower was exposed to electrical wires the door pads instead of keys didnt work half the time very frustrating. some of the bathroom tiles are missing on the floor and I cut my foot on a piece of tile sticking up no bottled water available in room breakfast was a continental full of carbs

Right on Rte 66 in the middle of Williams, AZ this hotel is so quaint and charming. The employees were very kind and helpful. If in the area I would love to stay there again

We had a dreadful experience at this hotel. When we arrived I discovered that I had inadvertently booked a room with a double bed and not two beds. This was not suitable for us as I was traveling with my brother. The hotel Manager said that the internet was down so she could not look for other rooms for us until it came back up. We decided to go for a walk around the town and when we returned she told us there had been a plumbing leak on the second floor and none of the rooms on that floor were available. We asked to talk to the owner but she said the was waiting to see what the plumber (who was allegedly on his way) said first. We did not want to have any more of a disturbance of our vacation so asked her if we would receive a refund if we booked elsewhere. She told us that even if she had to pay it herself, we would receive a refund. We booked somewhere else to stay and popped bak into the Grand Canyon Hotel on our way out of town the next day. We had been advised by the third party booking agent that we should get our refund directly from the hotel. By this time the manager had changed her story and said that our room actually had been available the day before, but that we should not worry because the owners were "all over our refund". Of course we did not receive any refund. Please beware that this manager is dishonest and lacks integrity. The hotel also does not live up to its description on the internet. It is very basic, has no elevator, the rooms are small and the price is high.
