Hilton Garden Inn Pivot Point Center

I stayed at this hotel recently twice, at the beginning and end of a trip through the Southwest. It is always a reliable stop; clean, and with the necessary amenities including a restaurant and bar. I especially like that it is next to the river and adjacent park. I had originally booked a suite online without talking to a human, and realized upon arrival that the suites do not overlook the park, which is something I prefer at this location. The clerk was nice enough to switch me to a standard park view room and reduced the cost of the room to the standard rate instead of the suite rate. I also asked her to do that for the return trip. For the return trip, I was indeed switched to the regular room which had a park view. Upon checkout, I was in a hurry and when the clerk asked if I wanted a printed receipt or emailed, I said emailed. I didn't have a chance to check the bill until I got home, and only then I realized they had still charged me for the suite, even though I had stayed in a regular room. I called as soon as I realized this, and spoke to two different people, but I did not get a credit for the difference between the suite and the regular room. My fault for being in a hurry and not refuting the error at checkout, but a little upsetting as it was a big price differential. I will probably return to this hotel again in the future as it is convenient and probably one of the better hotels in the area. But next time I will check my bill carefully before leaving. Regarding the restaurant, the food was good but they were trying to get by with minimal staff and one morning they got slammed with customers. After waiting 45 minutes to have our order taken, we gave up and went elsewhere.

Should have read the reviews! As previously mentioned beds were appalling. Room was clean as well as the gym and public areas. We booked 3 nights but checked after the 1st as they didn’t have any newer beds. Que sera! Alicia and Sandra at the FD were wonderful!

We checked into this hotel because proximity to family and downtown was great. It was clean. However, that is where it stopped. It was one of the worst night’s sleep I have had in my life. From the moment that we checked into the hotel room, I looked at the bed and the bed scene sunken in. I gave it the benefit of the doubt because I’m usually picky. However, both my husband and I did not sleep a wink because the bed was just atrocious. It was sunken in the middle. We both rolled towards each other every time we laid down. I tossed and turned all night. I woke up with the worst backache. The bedding was flimsy a best. That’s putting it nicely. It literally had minimal bedding. The pillows were thin and needs to be thrown out. The bed had zero spring support and as we looked at it in the morning, you can see the box spring had no support. The minute you sit on the bed, the boxspring collapses. I have never stayed in a hotel where the boxspring is exposed. It’s cheaply put together. There’s no shower gel included in the room. The staff was friendly and accommodating. But as far as stays. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The beds needs to be replaced and there’s a smell to the place that I couldn’t place my finger on. We were supposed to stay 3 nights. We checked out after the first night there.
