Best Western Sundowner Inn

Beware. This is not a clean hotel. There was a stain on one of the bedspreads. There were dirty rags left in the bathroom. The worst was the pool, which was so murky our kids couldn't go in it. Note also the fine print when you book, wherever you book, because that's where they hide that the exercise room is being used for storage. The pool was the last straw. We left and did not stay the night when we went. They refused to cancel any part of the stay, however, and charged us for three nights. They told us they could do nothing, that we could cancel through booking.com. Booking.com (NEVER AGAIN) told us we could cancel through the hotel. When I called back the next morning to tell the hotel what Booking.com said, they said no cancellation, that we had lied about the cleanliness. When I spoke to the manager and pointed out the specific things that were wrong, the person on the phone (I think it was the manager?) just started cutting me off. "Was there an alligator in your room? Was there an alligator in your room?" he screamed at me repeatedly. "Was there an alligator in your room?" Followed by laughter, too, because he knew he already had our money and he wasn't going to give it back. Reprehensible behavior. This awful hotel ruined our family's visit to hot springs. Will never go to another Baymont as long as I live.

Hotel was great, a good location. Close to the supermarket and a couple of restaurants. Nice creek by hotel! plenty of parking, Even for my larger vehicle! Room was clean and been recently remodeled. good hot showers! Good value for what I paid has. A lot of the hotels in that area are pretty. Pricey! Shah the guy at the front desk was there nearly twenty four hours a day? I don't know when he slept. He might have been the owner, but he was great. Always had a smile, always making sure must stay. And everything was going perfect. I really appreciated his attitude!!

Refrigerator froze our water. No safety bars in bathroom for the step in shower. Some electrical outlets don’t work. Room was very dated and in need of paint and upkeep. Toilet and sink heights are for children. WiFi sucked.
