Americas Best Value Inn

It's not the nicest hotel to be honest, but for $50 bucks a night I was content. I paid in advance in cash for 4 days b/c this trip had to be extremely economical. I didn't have money allocated for nice restaurants, hotels, or nights on the town. I had just enough money for my roundtrip plane fare, hotel, cigarettes, and uber/lyft fare to get me around. Today was unbearably hot, and the a/c unit in my room was on its last leg, so I sat on the steps to my floor and chain smoked when I was got back from a packed day of familial mingling. Keep in mind I'm a man, so being shirtless isn't exactly indecent. At some point, I decide I need ice, so I walk to the machine (still shirtless) of course it's broken. One my way back up, A short stout indian man blocks my path down the hall. I recognized him from the front office and assumed he was the manager. Very rudely, he tells me "you can't stay here if you aren't wearing a shirt." It's exactly 11 trillion degrees ad humid today and i didn't like his tone so I reclaimed my spot on the steps and lit another cigarette. Maybe 45 minutes later a group of young people drive up (obvious drug addicts) so naturally we strike up a conversation where they ask me about the room, price, etc. One of the jerks then asks me if he can use my phone, I hand it to him, he takes couple steps away, I assumed for privacy. The second I glance away from their group they all jump into a car and speed off. This is the new iphone 11 max pro, a $1200 phone. Nice guys finish last, y'all. Anyway I run to the front off ice to speak to the manager and see if one of the several security cameras the car passed got a license #. I kid you not, less than 3 seconds into explaining what just happened, he rudely cuts me off, raises his voice to tell me I have to get all my stuff and leave. B/c in my rush to report the crime, I had failed to put a shirt on. I'm pretty angry at this point, but I keep trying to explain completely what happened in hopes to deescalate our very public spat. He threatens to call the police if I don't remove my belongings and get off the premises. I asked for a refund since, I had spent a max of 3 hours at this hotel which I paid 4 days in advance to have. Denied. He wouldn't let me use a phone to call anyone, luckily the very friendly maintenance man let me use his. And he refused to rewind the security footage to help me recover my phone. I'm now spending 4 days in a sleeping at my aunt's already cramped apartment, even though I already spent $200 for a room. And am now spending my family vacation talking to the sheriff's office, apple, and at&t b/c the manager of the America's Best Value Inn was a category 5 jerk. This goes beyond not being sufficiently courteous (I work in the service industry, I'm quick to forgive that stuff). The manager at North Little Rock location ruined a trip I was hoping to enjoy with my family. I will NEVER use this hotel as long as he's there, and I'm writing as many reviews as I can in hopes he is let go and replaced.

Easy access to hotel being right beside the freeway. Didnt feel like driving home so decided to stay here. Only a hand full of ppl here and i got put right below ppl running and jumping in the room above us at 1am in the morning. There was roaches in the room, plastic on the beds, and noone would bother answering the phone when we tried to call the front desk. Will not come back here.

The only thing in the room was a microwave and refrigerator. I asked for a Do Not Disturb card and was told he would bring one to me. I tried to connect to the wifi and several different cable companies showed up. I wasn't told which one to use. I then turned on the TV and couldn't change channels. I then walked back to the front desk and informed him what was going on. He then took my phone and set the wifi never telling me what he did. When I told him about the TV he was very rude and insisted that every room had a box underneath the TV and I was suppose to aim the remote at that. I told him there was no box under my TV. He then came to my room and found there was a wire that was not connected to the TV. He also exchanged the plugs in the wall. The TV had to reset. I was going to ask a question about the remote without touching it. He told me don't touch that. I told him I wasn't going to touch it, only ask a question. He never said a word about no box being under the TV set. By the next morning, I still had not received a Do Not Disturb Card. He told me he couldn't find one and would let the help know not to go into my room. Water pressure in the sink was very slow, shower was a little better. You had to put a washcloth in the sink to make sure you didn't lose anything. Also the toilet paper holder came out of the wall. Last, but not least I killed two baby roaches in the bathroom. I didn't eat breakfast as there wasn't much to choose from. I only saw cereal and some muffins as well as coffee and milk. Needless to say, I will never stay at this hotel again.
