Candle Light Inn

We travelled from Scotland to California for a roadtrip down the states coastal road. The Candle light inn at Carmel was suggested to us through our booking company, the American road trip company and we stayed for two nights after leaving San Francisco. I fell in love with the place as soon as we pulled up outside, with its balconys overflowing with flowers and the brick firepit burning outside. The rooms were spacious, clean, tidy and complete with a coffee machine and Iron. No air conditioning but there is a fan available in the room if needed, We just removed some of the bedding to make sleeping easier. The hotel is located in the middle of the town so you can pop backwards and forwards to drop off any purchases without having to walk too far. Staff were very welcoming and happy to help if you need anything. We took advantage of recommended resturants in the Treehouse cafe and Nora's resturant and i'd recommend booking to make sure you get a spot, for such a small town the resturants fill up quickly. Really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying in Carmel.

The location is perfect! It’s only steps away from great food and Ocean Ave, it’s about 6/7 blocks from the beach. The room was incredibly clean. We traveled HWY 1 and left with Candlelight Inn in Carmel by the Sea being our favorite spot. We can’t wait to visit again!

Great vacation with my daughter enjoyed the comfortable beds, fire pit, and jet tub at the inn. Location was great a short walk to restaurants, shopping and even Carmel Beach. Wonderful choice for a place to stay to enjoy Carmel for a weekend getaway
