We eloped at Post Ranch Inn, and the entire experience was absolutely magical. From the moment we arrived, everything felt incredibly thoughtful and seamless, and Derek was instrumental in making our elopement so special. He went above and beyond to ensure every detail was flawless, including helping me plan a few extra surprises for my wife that made the day even more meaningful. He was thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely invested in making the experience perfect for us - and every detail went off without a hitch. We’re incredibly grateful for our time at Post Ranch Inn, and so much of what made the experience feel effortless and unforgettable was thanks to Derek. He played a huge role in making an already extraordinary stay truly magical. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a better person to help bring it all together.

Post Ranch Inn is one of those rare places that is almost impossible to adequately describe until you experience it for yourself. From the moment we arrived, the setting, privacy, architecture, and sheer beauty of the property felt extraordinary. The way the rooms disappear into the landscape and the views stretch endlessly over Big Sur make it feel completely removed from the rest of the world. Our room was beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly private, and there is something about waking up here that makes you want to slow down and simply take everything in. The grounds are spectacular, the atmosphere is serene, and the entire property feels thoughtfully designed around the landscape rather than imposed upon it. It truly is a special place. Our second night became an experience we will never forget when the Timber Fire broke out nearby. From our room, we watched a helicopter repeatedly collect water from the pond directly in front of us to fight the fire. Seeing that happening so close by was both incredible and understandably nerve-racking. We packed our belongings that night just in case an evacuation became necessary, but watching the response unfold also gave us an incredible appreciation for the people working so hard to protect this beautiful area. Despite everything happening around us, our stay at Post Ranch was extraordinary. Matt and I will absolutely return, and we sincerely hope Post Ranch, its wonderful staff, and the surrounding Big Sur community remain safe through the fire. There are beautiful hotels, and then there are places that stay with you. Post Ranch is one of those places.

Leading up to vacation was dealing with graduation of a high school student and prepping to send her off to college 3000 miles away. We hardly had a moment to breath and I scheduled this weekend away to just slow down and enjoy stillness for a moment. Thankfully Post Ranch Inn delivered in spades. Not only was the food the best hotel food I've ever had in a LONG time, the service was also out of this world. We went on several hikes after each meal and had restful times by the pools. The tree house was perfect and serene. A full day felt like 2 days of rest. Highly recommended...... The price hurts a little. But you get what you pay for.
