Really charming zen feel hotel at the top of Carmel - about 5 mins into town and 15 to the beach. A light breakfast is brought to the room which gets you going first thing. Beautiful gardens and water features. We enjoyed our stay but feel the bed mattresses do require renewal - especially for this price bracket. We were a bit sore tbh. Also felt that the electrical fittings need bringing up to date.

Beautiful boutique hotel walkable to everything in downtown Carmel. Staff was welcoming and accommodating (I requested extra toiletries, room coffee/teas and condiments, which they obliged). Our room view was great and cozy. Even though the hotel is not air conditioned (which is common for the area), it’s airy and wonderful to have the balcony screen door and windows open. The room never got hot or humid and the working fireplace is a nice touch. Grounds are well maintained and room was especially clean and well decorated. I can’t say enough good things about the morning breakfast basket brought to our door...it was beautifully presented, delicious & just enough to kickstart our mornings. I wouldn’t change a thing & would definitely book again. Thanks, TradeWinds! It made my husband’s 40th birthday trip especially memorable! -Room 19, July 6-8

Excellent place to stay! Fairly easy walking to restaurants and the shopping. Carmel is a beautiful place and the Tradewinds added to that beauty. Great breakfast brought to your room each day. The room is very comfortable with a fireplace to add to the ambiance of a nice visit
