Nice clean room Friendly staff at check in. Free breakfast. Quiet. Pool. Hot tub.

Booked labor day well in advance. Relied on their ad that they had a pool and spa. Upon arrival, (after 6 hr. drive) told pool and spa undergoing maintenance. If we didn't want to stay they would cancel w/out charge. Given that it was a holiday there was no other realistic option, we really had no choice but to stay there at that point. Since it was maintenance, that. by definition is known in advance, yet they wait until you arrive to tell you AND they do not offer any $$ adjustment - or anything - to compensate for THEIR failure to advise you in advance. Plus, they were not the least bit apologetic. So, basically fraud - they promised X but failed to deliver X and knowing they have you "over a barrel" they still demand full price even though they are failing to provide the service in accordance with their express representations. Then, to make matters worse, an employee(s) was very possibly responsible for the disappearance of a jewelry item worth over $1500+ - i.e. grand theft. When brought to managment's attention, the Hotel manager was rude, arrogant, unhelpful, as if covering up something. Blamed me for not reading their sign. Choice Hotels corporate directed the owner to contact me, but she failed to do so and when I tried to reach her, the manager there was uncooperative in the extreme, seeking to conceal the owner's identity and refusing to put me in contact as per the directive he received from Choice Hotels. Choice did give me some free rewards points as a token gesture, but I want the Hotel to properly investigate with its employees to obtain return of my (apparently) stolen jewelry.

They advertised a pool and spa. They waited until arrival to reveal these were closed for “maintenance “. They refused to make any financial adjustment. It was a holiday weekend and so they knew it would be impossible to rebook at that moment. Dishonest greedy people. And they were rude and unhelpful. What’s more, staff rushed us out of the room and it appears someone there stole my $1500 necklace. When this is issue was brought up, the manager was arrogant and rude. They failed to adequately question staff. The owner arrogantly refused to contact me even though directed to do so by the Franchisor. Do not reward these arrogant and greedy people that own this hotel. Go elsewhere!!!
