The Hotel Angeleno experience could not have been better. The physical property is most attractive and the rooms are most attractive and comfortable. More important however is the staff. While we only stay at Hotel Angeleno a couple of nights every three months or so, we are greeted as if we are long lost favorite relatives. Even the parking attendants know us and give us a warm welcome. And, the front desk staff is no less than amazing. When we walk into the hotel lobby, we are greeted by name. We are treated as if we are welcome guests at their house. There is not one aspect of the Hotel Angeleno that could be improved because everything is already absolutely perfect.

I chose the Hotel Angeleno because of its proximity to UCLA. I was attending a sports event. The hotel was an excellent choice because Pauley Pavillion on the UCLA campus was less than three miles away. During rush hour, the trip did sometimes take 1/2 hour but in the late evening it was a three minute drive. The hotel is right next to on and off ramps for the I-405, so ignore WAZE when it says to turn right and make sure you are turning onto Sunset Blvd and NOT back on the 405. The rooms were spacious and pleasant although I would have wanted brighter light and warmer water in the sink and shower. Internet was on the slow side. QUIET! Despite being in a 2nd floor room, I didn't hear the freeway traffic at all and no noise from adjoining rooms. The STAFF were very pleasant greeting me and wishing me a nice day. The complimentary breakfast was great because I love freshly squeezed orange juice! Food included some pastries, bagels, yoghurt, cold cereals, apple juice, cantaloupe, pineapple, honey due melong and a variety of fruit and nut toppings for the yoghurt, coffee and tea. The restaurant was moderately priced and quite efficient. An adequate dinner didn't cost much more than ordering through Doordash or Uber Eats and was served warm and graciously! Valet parking was $45 per night which is not bad considering the museums charge as much as $25 and parking at UCLA for three hours of more costs $17.

Very rude staff. Breakfast was advertised as included in the booking, but it was not. The tap water in Los Angeles is not really drinkable, yet there was no bottled water provided in the room. When we asked the staff, they told us to go fill up water from the fountain in the gym. We stayed here with a baby and asked for a kettle to prepare milk. The staff told us to run water through the coffee maker instead, and when we explained it was for baby formula, they suggested we go to the rooftop restaurant and ask for hot water there. On top of that, the closet light would not turn off all night, and the soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken. The fire alarm went off at 8am.
