My room was downgraded from what I had booked. When I raised the issue, the only option offered in the middle of the night was to cancel my reservation, which was not a practical solution. The replacement room overlooked someone's backyard, where construction or maintenance work started early every morning, making the stay far from relaxing. Perhaps the most frustrating part was that there was never a manager available to address the issue. Despite multiple follow-ups over several weeks, I was repeatedly told there was no manager on site, and nothing was resolved. There was also no adjustment to the charges despite the downgrade and poor experience. A request to the hotel: if you don't have a manager available to resolve problems, at the very least don't change guests' room assignments without providing the room they reserved or an equivalent alternative. This was the kind of experience that makes you feel like you deserve a full refund. Choose at your own risk.

Such a wonderfully memorable and fun experience. Selene at the front desk was so kind and professional. I will be making holiday inn Oxnard my go to hotel for all my future visits and recommending them to friends and family!

Check-in was really easy, although the hotel is a little ways away from the street. The room is a bit on the smaller side, but being on the first floor is a nice surprise. The fridge is small, without a freezer. Additionally the view outside of the room was very nice. The beds were decent, with really tightly tucked in sheets. The bathroom was well laid out. Especially with the shower/bath, the water temperature was on point. The paid breakfast was delicious and the to go pack was a nice touch. The hotel gym was very nice, for a hotel gym. Its location looking at the parking lot was an interesting choice. There is a hotel restaurant on site and there is also a few restaurants about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. This was a decent hotel to stay at, and I recommend staying at this hotel.
