Dunes Inn - Sunset

Stayed for 1 night for a whistle-stop tour of Hollywood. Friendly check in and plenty of parking on site. Room was clean and functional, bed was comfortable. Would have liked a security deposit box. Many have said that the area is sketchy, and I suppose it is. I never felt unsafe at any point though and there is a security guard on property. Definitely recommend this place for the price and location.

I was charged a $100 security deposit twice after I checked out for no reason (bank statement is attached). A big escalation is coming. Don’t trust them

We stayed here during our west coast round trip for 3 nights. The rooms are not huge but very clean and have everything you need. There is a dedicated supervised parking space, which is great. Breakfast is unfortunately not available as the restaurant is closed, but there is a Starbucks and a Target very close by. By car it is about 10 minutes to Universal Studios, and to the Hollywood Walk of Fame we just walked, which took about 30 minutes. If you're in LA, try not to drive too much, the traffic there is really awesome!
