Marriott Universal Studios at Burbank

Oscar, the afternoon executive lounge host was once again exceptional! We had the pleasure of being server by him last year when we visited the hotel as well. He is always very friendly and attentive. He made sure we were satisfied with everything with the dinner hors d’oeuvres and gave us a heads up that he would be putting out dessert at 7:30. His caring attitude and personal service make us definitely want to come back to the Marriott Burbank. Thank you.

I called the hotel and a few occasions to try to inquire about some basic questions prior to my arrival. The phone rings repeatedly and nobody answers the phone so frustrating based on this experience alone I gave up on this hotel and chose a Hilton property.

This hotel is in desperate need of a complete overhaul. The rooms appear to be stuck in the 1980s, with outdated furnishings and a worn overall appearance. It is disappointing that Marriott allows a franchise property to operate in this condition under its brand standards. The condition of the guest rooms, front desk area, and many of the common spaces falls well below what travelers would reasonably expect. I would strongly recommend that guests consider staying elsewhere until this property undergoes a comprehensive renovation and modernization.
