Awesome staff (shoutout to Kelvin and Martha!) The pool/hot tub were fantastic. However, the stay was heavily impacted by major operational flaws. Out of two elevators, only one works and is shared by guests and housekeeping carts. Staying on the sixth floor meant waiting through multiple full cars. Worse, the elevator broke down and trapped people three times in a single night, requiring the fire department. On top of that, the free breakfast was identical every day for six days (eggs and sausage, no advertised bacon). Great service, but needs urgent fixes.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We were very satisfied with the cleanliness of our room. It was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay.
The staff were respectful, professional, and always willing to help. Whenever we had a concern or request, they responded promptly and made sure it was addressed right away, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
We would especially like to recognize Soufiane and Kelvin for their exceptional customer service. They were courteous, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our concerns were accommodated immediately. Their dedication and hospitality truly made a positive difference during our stay.
Thank you for providing such excellent service. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to others.

We arrived later than expected due to a delayed flight. I called from baggage claim and was told where the shuttle stopped. After getting our luggage, we proceeded upstairs and found "hotel shuttle" sign so I called to say we were ready. Within 5 minutes, I saw shuttle approaching (he was called by someone else whom we later picked up) so I waved, he stopped, verified our hotel, and away we went! After picking up other guy (loud guy who had just returned from China and thought his poop didn't smell?), we headed to hotel. The shuttle service was very efficient with friendly, helpful driver.
Check-in was easy for my other half's IHG platinum status since we used his annual Chase free night (I have IHG Diamond status and got larger room upgrade on our February 2025 visit after our Panama canal cruise-see that review for more details). Our 1st stay was in #403. We were in a smaller room #332, but King Bed. Room at northeast end of hotel with views of backsides of restaurants. Manchester Ave. has many loud cars but not too bad for good night's sleep thanks to our being very tired and still on east coast time! (and our CPAP machines!)
Everything mostly clean-bathroom overflow drain could use good scrub-the main reason for a 4 and not a 5. Everything except some loose USB outlets in good working condition.
Breakfast very good for HIE but very crowded so biscuits went fast. After missing 2 times, I just put sausage gravy over my 2nd helping of pancakes. Sugar-free syrup on 1st 2 pancakes. We stayed the following 3 nights at the Intercontinental DTLA. As I should have realized, the top IHG brands don't cater to those with sugar issues so no sugar-free jelly or syrup downtown; next time, I will take a few extra to use at the fancier but not as health conscious, La Boucherie! They also had cheese omelets (no scrambled this time), pork sausage links, turkey sausage patties, potatoes, (no bacon) plus fresh fruits, cereals, and more. No real complaints. Very friendly, helpful staff continuously cleaning and restocking.
In conclusion, a very good airport hotel. We haven't tried the Holiday Inn nearby, but this one does the job if one needs an airport hotel. Also, it has free breakfast for all unlike HI! There are many restaurants close by, if needed.
