I can’t say much about this hotel. It is an average place that I only used to spend one night. I arrived unexpectedly from the Philippines and just needed a place close to the station, since my bus to my hometown was canceled at the last minute. The hotel is somewhat run-down, and there are homeless people in the surrounding area, which can feel uncomfortable. I also found it a bit expensive for what it offers, although this is relatively common in downtown Los Angeles. On the positive side, the location is very convenient, as it is very close to Union Station, making it ideal for travelers using Amtrak or bus services. It is a good option just to spend the night and continue your journey. Also, in the afternoons there is a nice bazaar on Olvera Street with good Mexican food nearby. The hotel staff was very attentive and they speak Spanish, which makes communication easier. Overall, the experience was acceptable, but I think the price is high for how basic the place is, and it lacks a bit of charm.

Upon exiting the third floor elevator, the overall appearance of the carpeting was horrible. The carpets were dirty, held together by electrical tape and had not been cleaned or replaced in years. The bedspread was weathered and the tiles and caulk in the shower were moldy and dirty. The only good thing was the parking attendent was helpful. I would never recommend this hotel to out of town guests.
