It is clean - only I found someone else's spit out piece of candy in the room on the floor at night. Maybe management needs improved vacuum cleaners?
Ask for a quiet room.
If you need to walk anywhere after dark bring a headlamp because lighting is sparse everywhere, especially outside and on walkways - a huge libility concern for the hotel. Bring your own door lock because this is an ongoing issue with broken locks on multiple doors. Yikes!
Helpful front desk staff.

A ghost house or a prison cell? So scared, I left without saying anything. There were some homeless people and a dude vaping in the dark corners of the old building. The whole experience was surreal. I needed one quiet day to do some work-away from the chaos of my house with 4 kids, so left them with a babysitter and my sister, and booked this place for 1 night. After check in, which was ok, I drove to the end of the old gray-looking, ominous building which hardly had lighting outside. I took a really old elevator to my room, and when I unlocked and opened it, I felt uneasy. A sad looking room with dirty bathroom, stains on the floor and wall, a really strange smell, and a bed I didn't want to crawl in. I took one look, regretted being there, and came right out, and drove back home without saying a word. So much for getting work done. I would pay $100-$200 more and find a nice place elsewhere on Irvine Center Dr. on the other side of the Spectrum.
