Budget Inn Hollywood

The hotel seems to get a bad reputation based on it's location, which for anyone who's visited Hollywood knows that the glitz and glam is nothing more than TV magic. The city is a rough area outside the main strip and even then when you venture off towards the edges of it the true Hollywood shows up. But that's not the hotels fault. It does exactly what it says on the tin, it provides somewhere to sleep and change while being a walking distance from a collective of amenities such as 7/11, starbucks, KFC and In-n-out burger, it's also a 5 minute walk at most from the Chinese theatre and Ovation shopping centre and only 2km from Universal Studios. I stayed 4 days and only once heard any sort of issue, but unless you're stopping in Beverely Hills or paying $4000 a night you're going to see the real Hollywood and like the famous people who call it home - find out it's actually pretty bad. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone if they're in need of somewhere cheap, clean and just a place to rest. Don't be put off by the people who expect the world because the oscars make them think TV never lies.

Do NOT stay here, I'd rather sleep on the pavement and take my chances there. The place is a disgrace, we lasted 20 minutes before putting the cases back in the car. We were met by a guy in a full face mask putting blu tac on the spyglass of the room opposite ours whilst shouting for the occupant to come out, 2 guys appeared to be checking out our vehicle parked around the back as well. Avoid like the plague......... you'd probably catch the plague here anyway!

We stayed here 2 nights and the only reason we didn't leave is because they wouldn't refund our money. I should have just excepted the loss!. The hotel is nasty. Totally run down and is a hot spot for drug addicts. As soon as we arrived we witnessed a drug deal in the ridiculous parking lot behind the building and only later found out that he was the OWNER! there was graffiti all over the windows, no screens and the view out of the window was a brick wall...when u look down u see multiple dirty diapers and SYRINGES! crackheads are constantly running around and don't even try sleeping because at about 2am those crackheads run thru the halls yelling hella loud for HOURS. We even got food delivered and went to wait for the dasher...as soon as we walked outside a guy said hello...we said hi...then he said "do u know where I can get some dope?" WTF?!?! in the morning we wake up to a homeless guy by our car who constructed a bedroom out of trash bags and slept there with his dog. SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Unless of course ur homeless, a crackhead or a prostitute. This place be should be condemned.
