Hilton Garden Inn Montebello/Los Angeles

Start of our road trip with this hotel which was quite clean, nice, breakfast top and full staff nice nothing wrong

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel at the end of our tour of the West Coast. Wonderfully quiet location, pool we had every day to ourselves. Beautiful surroundings near the golf course but plenty of facilities such as restaurants and top golf 5 min drive away. Rooms are beautiful. The only thing we were not impressed with was the staff at the reception and the bar. At the reception there could be no good evening or goodbye from them just sitting on their phone. At the bar, the lady in question was busier with Hilton staff or friends than with us as guests. The tea and coffee offered throughout the day is lukewarm or cold from noon. I just asked for hot water at night and I got it. But if the staff has so little to do make sure this is good. Shop is nice, has dinner and snacks and drinks and even ice cream. Really great. Rooms are great, pool is lovely. Ladies who clean the room are super friendly, as are the people who clean the pool and that environment (the gentleman there even offered to unfold our umbrella). We would despite the remark about staff at the reception and the bar book this hotel immediately again because of the location and facilities!

A must try. If you are wanting a base that is driving distance from Anaheim, the beaches and downtown i would recommend it. Best of all free and safe parking. Located on a golf course and next to top golf too. Not many restaurants and bars close by so you will need a car. Lobby was great and suite room with a fire place amazing. Would highly recommend if you want to use it as a base... on our final day before we had to go to the airport, we had a pool day. No showers down at the pool though. Really solid Hilton with extremely professional staff
