Highly recommend The Metric, which is new and not as pictured and described on many of the old photos and reviews. The rooms, about 20 total, are on the third through fifth floors, with the even numbers with a view of downtown and the odd numbers with a view of the distant mountains. The second floor has the lobby, with complimentary pastries each morning starting at 7:00 a.m., plus coffee and hot chocolate all day. The rooms themselves are up-to-date, quiet and clean. Be sure to order the on-site, secure parking lot when making a reservation as street parking is limited nearby. The Metric's location is great, near highways and merely a 5 minute drive downtown (a 25 minute walk) and 10 minute drive to Dodger Stadium. Compared to the rates of other nearby hotels, the Metric is most reasonably priced.
