Good for the price. Much less than other DTLA hotels. Free parking was icing on the cake. Upgraded to the larger room with whirlpool since the price difference was negligible. Quite spacious at 440 square feet. Missed opportunity to only have one sink on the very large countertop. Lots of sirens throughout the night and mattress was too firm. Other than that it’s a clean property for a one night stay if you need to be in the area. Not much is walkable from the property.

Stayed here as a stop off for universal and Dodgers game. The staff we could not fault and the breakfast was good, however the area is full of homeless and people openly doing drugs in the street but I believe this has been an issue for a while so is no fault of the hotel. I wouldn't recommend walking around at night. If the hotel is going to be a stop over for a short stay, it does have free parking which is secure and convenient however I wouldn't recommend staying here if you have a young family which is what I have The staff were excellent and helpful

⭐️ Disappointing Breakfast Experience 12-27-2025 Saturday I had a very disappointing experience at Holiday Inn Express Los Angeles, especially with the breakfast service. Breakfast was advertised to be available until 10:00 AM for weekends but when I went around 9:15AM, almost everything was already empty, as shown in the attached pictures. There was no effort made to refill the food items. Additionally, there was no water container available in the lobby, which is very inconvenient for guests. I asked the staff about both the breakfast situation and the water, but no one seemed to care or take responsibility. There was no apology, solution, or follow-up. This level of service does not meet the expectations of a Holiday Inn Express property. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves guest service and accountability in the future.
