We booked our room several months in advance for my sister’s wedding and specifically requested a room with a view. The photos online suggested bright, well‑maintained rooms, a spacious jacuzzi, and a lodge‑style atmosphere.
Upon arrival, the property did not reflect those representations. The interior appeared significantly darker and more dated, with visible water stains and missing plaster on the ceiling. The main stairwell leading to town showed patchwork repairs that did not appear secure. The jacuzzi was much smaller than advertised and could only accommodate two people. Overall, the facilities seemed unmaintained and in need of substantial updates.
The room itself was the most concerning. It was dark, had a strong odor of cleaning chemicals mixed with old cigarette smoke, and did not resemble the photos provided online. Despite our advance request for a view, our room faced the parking lot, and noise from cars and general activity made it difficult for my husband to sleep throughout our stay.
Given the length of notice and the importance of the occasion, it was unclear why our room request could not be accommodated. The discrepancy between the advertised experience and the actual conditions was significant.
