Acqua Hotel

Wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed our stay as always

For not being an official "luxury" property, this hotel gave me the best night's sleep of my life. The beds are extremely comfortable (neither too hard nor too soft), the A/C is powerful, the curtains are blackout, and it was quiet––all essential for my needs. The rooms are plain yet comfortable and very tasteful, and certainly clean. The property is pretty. On one hand, yes, you are off a busy highway, but the rooms face the water, and it is lovely for walking or biking along the outdoor path. It's about an hour from SFO airport, and probably more with traffic. We were visiting friends in the Mill Valley area (Tiburon, Ross) so it was perfect for our needs. I appreciated all the nice touches: the extensive breakfast, the wine and cheese, the cookies. And the staff is friendly. Even though Mill Valley is not a frequent destination for us I would come here again just to stay at the Acqua.

The front desk staff could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. Our room was lovely in every way including a beautiful water view. The complementary breakfast was bountiful, varied, and beyond expectation. The free 5 PM to 7 PM wine, cheese, grapes, strawberries, and crackers in the bayside lobby was generous and elegantly presented (the selection included a half dozen white wines and a half dozen red wines, serve yourself, no limit, smiles all around, “everyone loved it” would be an understatement). The 7 PM free and warm cookies was frosting on the cake. This was our first (and hopefully not our last) time staying at the Acqua Hotel in Mill Valley. We could not have enjoyed our stay anymore.
