Strawberry Valley Inn

We stay regularly at The Strawberry Valley Inn. We love our stay. The rooms are nicely decorated, are always clean, comfortable and has many amenities that make it easy. The breakfast is wonderful, they make each one individually in the kitchen in the dining room area. We travel with our dog and all the rooms are accessible for your dog to stay. The location is close to restaurants and shops in the quaint downtown area.

The Strawberry Valley Inn is a very pleasant alternative to big chain motels. It's a bit of a throwback. Clean, well-appointed rooms all situated in a single L-shaped unit next to the charming river rock reception/breakfast house. The Inn is by no means the least expensive option in Mt. Shasta, but with excellent mattresses and a very quiet location it is one of the better options. Just be warned, the pancakes are really not that famous. Really not at all. Ours required cross-cut saws and were still a chore. In an age when you can buy Krusteaz pancake mix at almost any grocery or supermarket -- Pro Tip: even Cosco has it -- there is no excuse for bad pancakes. You'd be wise to skip breakfast at the Inn and head straight to the Black Bear Diner -- the original, by the way -- for the best breakfast in town.

We loved our stay at Strawberry Valley Inn. This is the cutest place with the friendliest staff. I felt like I was in a Hallmark Movie. They serve a wonderful breakfast and have wine from 5-6 everyday. Great memories. Make sure you call the hotel directly to book because booking.com will make your start miserable.
