Basic, nice staff, clean and neat, and safe. area around the hotel was safe. We were able to walk a block for fast food. The manager was friendly and helpful. We had just left a terrible corp. hotel down the road, and this was truly a pleasant difference from the previous accommodation. It a good place to stay when visiting wonderful Sonoma County CA.

Country Inn Is Really City Inn Down Town Santa Rosa Got one Star Because Close too Resturants stores Etc. We Used Bring Fido App for dog Friendly Places , The Dog Did not Care for It She Prob Wished She Stayed In the Car as there was Nothing for Dogs At All We cared for It even Less Was Cold So Ran Heater steady, Lucky we Had 1 blanket With Us , Heater Sounded Like A Train Coming, Not Tidy Needed Paint Etc And too Top it off The Owner Mgr Was Misserable, And Had Lost Any Personality That He may Have Ever Had Previously , WithThe Dog $150 Pay A bit more And go Else Where

The only disadvantage of this if you're on the road is that it is hard to enter except from the north. Always approach from the north. Other than that, good sized room, clean, quiet, no disturbances in the parking lot, close to a shopping mall if you forgot something (oh and adjacent to Costco Gas,which matters for us.
