David at the front desk was the most friendly and accommodating front desk clerk I have ever met. He took the time to show us the 4 rooms that were available when we arrived. Incredibly polite and engaging. Moreover, the property is ideally located a few minute walk from the beach and provides complimentary beach chairs, towels, boogie boards and parking. It is a true motel and not fancy but is clean, safe, the AC works well, and is close to Newport Beach pier and restaurants. The other front desk clerks were also friendly and helpful during our stay.

We have been going to the Channel Inn for several years and it is grandpa's headquarters while the rest of the family stays on the beach. CI is convenient to the shore, shopping, and other destinations up and down PCH. The rooms are spacious as well as very clean. And the prices are fair and reasonable especially given it is a beach property. The reservationist has been friendly and helpful in making special accomodations for us and the desk help is as well. The Channel Inn is now a regular part of our plan for the annual family beach trip.
