Mountain Trail Lodge Vacation Homes

I was unable to complete my stay at this lodge due to the poor condition of the room. It was dirty and unsanitary. The bed was so soft and squeaked every time I moved in the bed. The coffee maker was not functional. I will never return to this place again.

We stayed at a unit with 3 queens and futon. The bedroom with its own quarter bath toilet was broken and when flushed it leaked out on floor. The manager said no one reported it. That is hard to believe the cleaners didn’t notice it because the bolts were not tight and it sat on floor where it looked like it was not straight. Should of been taped over with a sign do not use at least and should of let us know when checked in. The blanket for futon was filthy. The other bathroom toilet needs new toilet seat and some drapes clean. Place seemed dirty. Needs new paint job.

The pictures on the website are FAKE!! I WISH I had read the google reviews before I booked! The WORST place we've ever stayed - AND we paid for the "upgrade" - $221 for ONE night! The property looked abandoned, dirty, empty cigarette pack on the chair outside, no toilet paper or paper towels or extra bedding (we had to drive back to the check in to get some), empty glade plugins, and just everything generally broken or run down. The walls chipped and damaged, the fridge was duct taped on this inside. And NO pool. If we were staying more than one night we would have left, but we arrived late and left early, so it wasn't worth the hassle. At least the sheets looked clean, which is better than some other experiences I've read about. However, we had SPIDERS! 3 of them! HUGE! The sink didn't have a plug so I shoved a washcloth in it and that seemed to work. The worst was the customer service, from both the property owners and hotels.com. No return calls from the owners and after reading the reviews I'm done trying to get a refund. They obviously do not care. Hotels.com should be ashamed though, as they know this property is a scam and yet they do nothing about it. I will never book with them again.
