This is chill boutique get away that is very adults focused. Your kid is not the polite exception you think they are. Go to a family hotel that is big and will have lots of kids and kid stuff. Please!

I have never had a worse sleep experience since I stayed in a youth hostel in my late teens . There is no and I mean no sound proofing between the two floors so be prepared to get to know your upstairs Neighbours every noise and move ! We had a family with two children for the first two nights above us . Complained so thought on night three the new occupants would at least be a better match. Nope a tiny baby cried all night . The parents failed to attend the baby . I know because you can hear every step . I probably managed to get 3 hours sleep a night because no attempt was made to address the noise when the hotel was converted. I am back home feeling so stressed and exhausted. As others have said . It’s a Motel ! It has no facilities or food. You get no amenities in the room so take everything with you. Apart from shower gel, shampoos and conditioner. I have long hair and expected at least a shower cap? Nope ! When we complained about the noise , I had to be very strong with reception before they agree to even speak to the people upstairs . Not that a lot could be improved as the ceilings are paper thin. Honestly this property is shoddy , the furniture is worn, bedding faded , bathrooms are ridiculously small. Original Motel plumbing is hit and miss and water flow low! Can’t rinse hair efficiently .. a nightmare and a waste of money !

They did a nice job making it mid century modern. But as others have said it is basically a motel. Because of this - the doors are accessible. Given that, I would think they would have better security on the doors. There is only the lock on the door handle - non deadbolt or bar latch like most hotels have. As a solo female traveler - this made me uncomfortable. The room was well appointed, bedding was very comfortable. For the price - I would have expected a couple other enhancements - better blow dryer, make up mirror, ironing board and iron. I asked for one at the front desk. The person working said she would “check to see if she could find one” I never heard back. Also there is no phone in the room so you have to walk to the lobby if you need anything. The lobby is not staffed until after 8:00 am and if you check out in the morning you won’t be able to see your bill until after they charge your card. There is no elevator so if that is an issue for you - be prepared. The rooms were very clean and the pool area and grass area were lovely. I read prior reviews and asked for a second floor away from the road which they accommodated and had no trouble with noise. If was nice but not worth price.
