We travel a couple of hours on our mountain roads to stay at the Gold Country Casino. Everyone there are the most friendly, courteous and helpful people. They make U feel right at home, they all go above and beyond to help U, from the moment we get there! A few of the Ladies at the hotel desk are hard to forget "Alyssa H. and Stephanie J." they are so pleasant and yet very professional! They make changes for us and do all they can to make our stay comfortable, always kind and with a smile! Thank U, thank U! Ladies and to all the staff!!! We couldn't ask for a more wonderful host "Wayne Cheu" he takes care of our reservations and amenities. He informs us of all the special events, the different tournaments and the special dinners, they have something for everyone! We always have a Great time! With just a call or text, he makes it possible!!! Thank U, thank U! Wayne Cheu

I drove an hour to dine at Safire. Upon entry there was no one at entry desk but the guy behind the bar quickly came over to seat the party of 2 in front of me but refused to seat me. After he took them to their party that was already seated, he came back pass the entry where I was still standing and proceeded back to the bar. He closed out the tab for the party of 4 that was seated at the bar, cleared their plates, wiped down all the areas of the bar top except the one seat that was occupied at the end and continued to fiddle around the bar area. Despite his very best efforts to not see me, it was impossible as I did not blend into the restaurant decor. Luckily, the waitress came up the steps and asked if I had been helped and what I needed. I simply stated, no and a table for 1, if the dinning area was still open. She apologized for the wait and sat me right away. While eating my meal, I replayed the actions of the bar tender and thought maybe he wasn’t being intentionally dismissive and rude by refusing to acknowledge my presence or offer to seat me. Unfortunately, he sat another party of 2 at the table next to me and then it was clear that his actions were intentional, deliberate and biased. The people he chose to acknowledge and willingly help, looked nothing like me and his actions lead to the appearance that his preference for service was rooted in discriminatory ideologies. Thankfully, the tall slender blonde haired female that served me was of better judgement and character but his actions negatively affected my experience. Anyone who has ever felt unwelcome in a space, knows the uncomfortableness that surrounds someone intentionally ignoring their presence. I do believe that the bar area needed to be cleaned but it was not busy and there was no immediate reason to clean the entire bar top, wipe down all the counters, settle the dirty dishes and then wipe the same areas a second time, while guest are waiting to be seated.

Stephanie Jagears was so sweet helpful and made our stay at the casino the only reason I would go back.
